As the most popular model in the current Mitsubishi lineup, the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport generates more curiosity from customers in and around Independence, MO than any other vehicle at the Jeremy Franklin Mitsubishi facility. In fact, many have been asking what they can look forward to in terms of the latest model year version of our best-selling crossover, and the good news is that we do know exactly what to expect. While the generational upgrade just came out in 2017, there are enough updates in this most recent iteration to separate itself from the rest of its segment.
First and foremost, the Mitsubishi brand has worked hard to boost the number of amenities that Blue Springs Mitsubishi customers can enjoy while driving their Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SUVs. Higher trims now feature 7.0-inch infotainment display that can integrate both Apple Car Play and Android Auto. There also are more options and functionality with Smartphone Link than in previous models, making this the most technologically-advanced version of the model yet.
On top of all that, there are a few minor exterior styling changes to the front and rear end of the vehicle. The “Dynamic Shield” front fascia that debuted to such strong reviews last year remains, but the back end is a little chunkier and sportier, while the grille will get more of a mesh design this year.
We know the Mitsubishi brand is placing a lot of stock in its SUVs moving forward, and since this is the one that seems to have garnered the most praise over the last five years, it’s clear why designers would want to make sure it was properly updated for 2018. We’ll have it in stock at Jeremy Franklin Mitsubishi later this year, and when we do we hope you’ll come down and give the new features a try!
